In a significant financing round, German fintech Tapline has raised €20 million in a pre-Series A round consisting of equity and debt. Specializing in non-dilutive funding for B2B SaaS and subscription businesses, the company continues to expand its reach across Europe. Leveraging AI-driven analytics, Tapline aims to address liquidity challenges faced by early-stage companies, enabling them to scale operations effectively. This funding marks a step forward in strengthening the company’s platform and customer base while preparing for further geographical expansion.

Who participated in the funding round?

The equity segment of the funding was led by Karim Beshara, General Partner at A15 Venture Capital and Managing Partner at Accelero Capital, with contributions from Antler, a prominent early-stage venture capital firm in Europe, as well as several strategic business angels. The debt portion, meanwhile, was secured from WinYield. This dual-structured funding is set to enhance Tapline’s operational efficiency and credit risk processes while maintaining a lean capital model.

How does Tapline support businesses?

Tapline offers non-dilutive financing by pre-funding future revenues for B2B SaaS and subscription businesses, with funding available for companies generating a minimum of €15,000 in Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR). Alongside providing liquidity solutions, the platform includes advanced analytics powered by artificial intelligence, enabling better financial management tools for its clients. Serving markets in Germany, Estonia, the Czech Republic, and Poland, the company plans to expand its footprint further across Europe.

Earlier reports on Tapline emphasized its focus on non-dilutive funding as a differentiator in the fintech market. While previous updates highlighted its technology’s ability to accelerate funding processes, this funding round underscores the company’s broader commitment to scaling operations and adapting credit functionalities in response to client needs.

Fabricio Mercier, Director at WinYield, commented on the collaboration, stating:

“We are thrilled to support Tapline’s next leg of growth with a bespoke debt facility providing lower cost of operations, new credit assessment functionalities, and credit risk transfer. This will allow Tapline to stay capital-light and focus on the development of their technology. Tapline is the first company of its sector adopting this setup.”

Dean Hastie, Co-founder and CEO of Tapline, elaborated on the company’s mission, saying:

“With this new funding, we are set to address the liquidity gaps faced by SaaS and subscription businesses in today’s economic landscape. Our approach combines scalability with enhanced analytics and larger ticket sizes, empowering our clients to achieve sustainable growth.”

The announcement strategically aligns with Tapline’s vision to bridge gaps in growth funding for SaaS and subscription-based companies. By leveraging AI-powered tools, the company positions itself as a valuable partner for businesses navigating complex market conditions. Additionally, its focus on non-dilutive funding provides an attractive alternative for firms wary of giving up equity.

Tapline’s distinctive model reflects a growing trend within fintech toward personalized financial solutions that prioritize operational efficiency and advanced technology integration. For clients, the ability to access capital without equity dilution offers a considerable advantage in a competitive market. As the company scales both geographically and technologically, its progress could serve as a case study for similar SaaS-focused ventures.
