Inforcer, a company based in London, has secured $19 million in a Series A funding round to enhance its multi-tenant management solutions for Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT) services. The investment round was spearheaded by Meritech Capital. Inforcer uses its innovative platform to streamline Microsoft security policy configurations, which aids managed service providers (MSPs) in boosting their security measures and efficiency. By supporting MSPs to evolve their services, Inforcer helps maintain competitiveness in the rapidly transforming tech landscape.

How Will the Funds Be Utilized? What Are the Advantages for MSPs?

Previously, Inforcer’s advances have often focused on leveraging Microsoft’s existing suite of security tools to empower MSPs in managing security for multiple clients. This approach contrasts with some competitors who build proprietary systems, which may require more extensive integration efforts. The emphasis on using Microsoft technologies not only aligns with many MSPs’ existing infrastructures but also capitalizes on Microsoft’s brand trust, facilitating easier adoption among end users.

How Will the Funds Be Utilized?

The recent funding will be directed towards refining Inforcer’s technology and accelerating product updates. Jamie Daum, Inforcer’s co-founder, highlighted that the company aims to enable MSPs to develop scalable Microsoft security services, effectively addressing high costs associated with Microsoft expertise.

“Ultimately, Inforcer enables MSPs to sell high-margin wrap-around recurring services underpinned by a globally recognized brand,”

Daum emphasized, underlining the value Inforcer adds to MSP businesses.

What Are the Advantages for MSPs?

Inforcer automates the deployment of Microsoft security policies across various tenants, which traditionally required manual intervention. This automation allows MSPs to launch new security services based on Microsoft technologies integrated within their existing clients’ licenses. This capability not only enhances service offerings but also provides MSPs with tools such as ongoing reporting and remediation solutions that align with Microsoft’s Secure Score-as-a-Service initiative.

The company was founded in 2022 by Jamie Daum alongside partners Will Connor, Rory McInerney, and Richard Thompson. Since then, it has been adopted by MSPs across major global markets, marking it as a significant component in their service offerings. This rapid adoption is a testament to its efficacy in simplifying MSP operations while maintaining compliance with cybersecurity standards.

Inforcer’s role in reskilling MSP teams to leverage Microsoft’s security stack has led to an evolution in service delivery, what CEO Daum refers to as MSP 2.0. By offering tools for rapid deployment of Microsoft tenants, policy auditing, and security service demonstration, Inforcer positions itself as a critical enabler in the shift towards managed security services.

The increased funding and focus on advancing its platform reinforce Inforcer’s commitment to enhancing MSP services. This move is not only a strategic step forward for the company but also a significant boost for MSPs aiming to optimize their service delivery in a competitive market. As technology continues to evolve, companies like Inforcer are pivotal in enabling businesses to keep pace while ensuring robust security practices.
