Tiimo, a planning and learning app catering to neurodivergent individuals, has successfully secured $1.6 million in its latest funding round. This brings its total pre-Series A funding to $4.8 million. The app’s founders, Helene Lassen Nørlem and Melissa Würtz Azari, both have personal connections to neurodiversity, driving their mission to create tools that genuinely help those with cognitive differences. A growing user base underscores the app’s impact and the increasing recognition of neurodivergent needs.

Expanding User BaseFuture Plans

In recent years, there has been a noticeable increase in awareness and support for neurodivergent individuals, but significant gaps remain. Earlier reports highlighted the challenges faced by people with ADHD, autism, and dyslexia. While initiatives have been launched to address these issues, many solutions fall short of catering to the specific needs of neurodivergent populations. Tiimo’s approach, with its customisable visual planner and educational platform, seems to fill these crucial gaps. The company’s growth trajectory suggests a strong demand for such tailored tools.

A few years ago, the landscape for neurodivergent tools was sparse, with few options specifically designed by and for the neurodivergent community. Apps like Tiimo were either non-existent or in their infancy. Current data indicates that Tiimo has not only grown in user numbers but also in functionality, offering specialised content that was previously unavailable. This progression marks a significant shift in how technology can support neurodivergent individuals.

Expanding User Base

Since their last funding round two years ago, Tiimo has doubled its user base. The app now boasts over 50,000 paying subscribers as of August 2024, with the majority identifying as neurodivergent. Additionally, the app has exceeded 500,000 free users globally, demonstrating its growing popularity and the widespread need for such assistive technology. The founders attribute this growth to the app’s ability to meet the unique needs of its users.

Founders Helene Lassen Nørlem and Melissa Würtz Azari, who is herself neurodivergent, both ensure the app meets the unique needs of its users.

Future Plans

The newly secured funds will be directed towards user growth, scaling within existing markets, and expanding product offerings, particularly the Tiimo Learn subscription. Tiimo Learn provides educational content, expert advice, and research-backed tools to assist neurodivergent users in managing their daily lives. This focus on growth and product expansion is aimed at transforming the lives of the estimated 1 billion people worldwide who are neurodivergent.

The team plans to use the additional funding to further their mission of transforming the lives of the 1 billion people worldwide with ADHD, autism, and other neurodivergent profiles.

Tiimo’s latest funding round highlights the growing recognition of neurodivergent needs and the demand for tailored solutions. By expanding their offerings, Tiimo aims to provide comprehensive support for neurodivergent individuals, helping them navigate their unique challenges. With a robust user base and a dedicated team, the app is well-positioned to make a significant impact in the lives of millions globally.
