Trumpet, a London-based company specializing in personalized, collaborative sales rooms, announced it has raised $6.35 million in a seed funding round led by AlbionVC. The additional capital will facilitate the growth of Trumpet’s team, product innovation, and expansion into the U.S. market. Previous investors, including Lightbird Ventures, Anamcara Capital, and Triple Point Ventures, also participated in this funding round.
In previous reports, Trumpet has focused on enhancing sales efficiency and shortening sales cycles. The company’s innovative “Pods” help centralize communication and documentation in one place, simplifying the sales process for both buyers and sellers. This approach has been consistent with the company’s mission to innovate the B2B sales landscape, making it easier for sales teams to adapt to the evolving economic climate.
What Trumpet Solves
B2B sales have become increasingly challenging as companies reduce expenditures and limit the purchase of new tools. With 95 percent of the buyer journey occurring without direct salesperson interaction, a shift to asynchronous buying and digital engagement is essential. Trumpet’s sales enablement tools aim to make sales teams more efficient and responsive to digitally-native buyers.
Rory Sadler, co-founder and CEO of Trumpet, stated,
“Companies are continuing to tighten their belts because of the economic climate and that means sales teams need to change how they fundamentally approach selling. We’re helping companies collaborate and centralize their buyer journey, increasing their sales efficiency and velocity.”
The company’s proprietary revenue intelligence signals also aid revenue leaders in forecasting and understanding their deal pipeline more effectively.
Trumpet: Centralizes the Whole Sales Cycle
Founded in 2021 by Rory Sadler, Nick Telson-Sillett, and Andrew Webster, Trumpet has developed personalized, collaborative sales rooms, known as “Pods.” These Pods keep track of communication, decks, case studies, and video demos in one central location. This method not only simplifies the tracking of interactions but also aids buyers in making informed decisions.
Trumpet claims that approximately 15 percent of its new customers come from conversions via Pods. The platform has assisted over 10,000 users and boasts more than 250 paying customers, including prominent names like Cognism, OpenTable, Sky Media, and Crossbeam. The company states that it has reduced sales cycles by 28 percent and increased closed won opportunities by 13 percent.
Paul Lehair, Partner at AlbionVC, remarked,
“Rory, Nick, and Andrew have built one of the most exciting B2B platforms we have seen recently. Trumpet is elegantly designed and extremely easy to use and it’s already proving its effectiveness with global teams.”
AlbionVC aims to support visionary founders by providing long-term capital and scale-up expertise, partnering with UK-based early-stage B2B software, healthcare, and deeptech companies.
Given the current economic climate, Trumpet’s innovative approach to sales enablement is poised to make a significant impact. By centralizing and streamlining the sales process, the company is not only helping sales teams adapt but also ensuring that buyers have a cohesive and efficient purchase journey. As Trumpet continues to grow and expand into the U.S., it will be interesting to see how its solutions evolve and integrate further into the B2B landscape.
