He remarked on the tedious process of having to press buttons to unlock cabinets and frequent shoplifting incidents in stores. “The combination of what’s happened in the physical world and how much improvement we’ve made to our pharmacy experience is driving a lot of customers,” Jassy stated.

CVS CEO Karen Lynch noted that the company has had to adopt stringent security measures, including locking up even low-cost items to prevent theft. “They’re not being prosecuted, and they need to be,” Lynch stressed.
