Natural, an emerging company focused on developing payments infrastructure for AI agents, has successfully raised $30 million in a Series A funding round. This recent investment highlights rising interest in integrating advanced technologies with financial systems. As AI agents become more prevalent, the necessity for specialized payment processing tailored to this market becomes increasingly apparent. Natural aims to bridge this gap by offering tailored solutions for AI interactions.
Natural’s latest funding addition brings their total over $40 million, marking a significant milestone after previously securing $9.8 million seed funding in September 2025. Past endeavors laid the groundwork, introducing innovative financial solutions like Wallets and Pay to the AI landscape. This commitment to AI-adapted services sets a precedent as demand for agentic payments grows. This financial trajectory mirrors a trend where AI and payment solutions increasingly intertwine, underscoring the potential of such targeted interventions.
Why Focus on AI-Centric Financial Products?
The company has introduced several products to address various financial needs. Among them, Natural’s Wallets provide FDIC-insured wallets while Vault offers accounts for one-way transactions. Complementarily, their suite includes Pay for sending money, Request for receiving funds, and Transfer for managing internal and external money movements. These products aim to set the framework for agent-based financial processes.
What Is Next in Natural’s Product Expansion?
Looking forward, Natural plans to expand their offerings by launching three new products within a few months. These will include Voice, allowing AI agents to handle sensitive PCI data via phone; Accept, enabling AI agents to act as merchants; and Cards, providing debit and charge cards for agents. This strategy reflects their emphasis on comprehensive payment solutions for various transactional needs.
Throughout the fourth quarter, Natural has plans to develop additional products such as Charge, Credit, Direct, and Billing, all designed to strengthen the ecosystem around AI payments. “We made a bet on agentic payments a year ago when no one was talking about it,” stated Kahlil Lalji, Natural’s CEO and Co-Founder. “We knew that we needed to own that entire stack.”
Kirsten Green from Forerunner, who led this funding round, remarked on the importance of pioneering new systems for agentic payments, emphasizing Natural’s team and ambition.
“New platform shift, new rails,” Green expressed. “Agentic payments aren’t yet a thing, but [Natural] has the team and ambition to build this new infrastructure.”
Natural’s venture corroborates the growing trend in the industry to develop bespoke solutions for an AI-driven world. These advancements signify a potential shift in how AI agents are utilized within various financial contexts. Such developments could transform how transactions are efficiently processed in alignment with evolving technological landscapes. These efforts are aimed at preparing for a future where AI agents function seamlessly within financial ecosystems.
Overall, the recent developments from Natural illustrate a targeted approach toward the integration of AI within financial systems. By focusing on the unique requirements of agentic transactions, the company is positioned to play a pivotal role in an ever-evolving digital economy. As industries continue to embrace AI, the delivery of specialized financial services will likely become a pivotal component of technological infrastructure.
