Why did 431 organizations participate?
Participation is driven by the desire to be recognized as a top workplace while also aiming to improve internal cultures through feedback. Among over 400 participants in the Netherlands, only 326 achieved certification, reflecting a 70% or higher score on the Trust Index survey. From these, the top 50 organizations were selected as the Best Workplaces list for 2025.
What qualities distinguish the top 50 workplaces?
Organizations making the list notably demonstrate higher agility and innovation compared to national averages. The research indicated that such workplaces possess an agility rate of 90% versus the country’s average of 61%. This is credited to their investment in employee development amid technological disruption and global uncertainty.
Director of Great Place to Work Netherlands, René Brouwers, offered insight on these distinguished companies, noting the unique balance they have achieved.
“In a time when technology increasingly defines our work, it’s people-focused leadership and trust that truly make the difference,”
he stated. This balance allows employees to feel confident and supported in their roles, even as technological advancements transform business operations.
Highlighting some organizations, McCoy & Partners, a Dutch SAP implementation partner, stands out by focusing on business-IT integration rather than mere software implementation. Meanwhile, AbbVie in Breda strives to address complex health issues through its array of therapeutic areas, enhancing life quality for many individuals.
The list includes organizations from various sectors, demonstrating that nurturing a positive workplace culture can be achieved in all industries. Notable companies include DHL Global Forwarding, Hilton, and Atlassian, all of which prioritize employee growth and job satisfaction.
Revisiting these elements, Director Brouwers emphasized the importance of people’s needs in successful business practices using a people-first leadership approach.
